Data center buildouts in Pecos, Texas are picking up. $Microsoft(MSFT)$  has announced plans for a massive 2-gigawatt, multi-billion-dollar campus there, with a 20-year agreement alongside Chevron through its Energy Forge One subsidiary for a co-located, off-grid natural gas power plant that can provide up to 2.67 GW of dedicated power. $Amazon.com(AMZN)$  has filed for large facilities in the area, including the Pecos County Data Center and GW Ranch developments near Fort Stockton, backed by sizable on-site natural gas generation. $Core Scientific, Inc.(CORZ)$  is also shifting its existing Pecos footprint from crypto mining toward a 1.5-GW gross power AI infrastructure campus.
