For dividends, I prefer BlackRock (BLK). It offers an attractive combination of dividend income, strong cash generation and exposure to long-term growth in global asset management. Still, I wouldn’t buy a stock solely for its ex-dividend date, because the share price can adjust after the dividend.
Overall, ORCL is my growth choice, while BLK is my income-and-quality choice. I’ll focus more on earnings quality, guidance and valuation than simply chasing the biggest EPS increase.
