The acquisition gives IonQ more control over how its quantum hardware gets built as business scales

The U.S. government is backing $Rigetti Computing(RGTI)$ and $D-Wave Quantum Inc.(QBTS)$ with up to $200M combined to scale next generation quantum systems.

Commerce will also take minority stakes in both as Rigetti works to scale superconducting systems and D Wave targets up to 100,000 qubits.

$IREN Ltd(IREN)$ 2GW Sweetwater hub has been conditionally included in ERCOT’s Batch Zero process covering 1.4GW at Sweetwater 1 and 600MW at Sweetwater 2.

That brings another piece of IREN’s 5GW pipeline closer to data center deployment, with the first 300MW targeted for Q4 2027.

$Intel(INTC)$ is reportedly planning another 10% PC CPU price hike in October as it shifts the focus to rebuilding margins.

It may also exit lower margin Small Core chips opening more of industrial PC and IoT to $Qualcomm(QCOM)$ and MediaTek.

$ASML Holding NV(ASML)$ and $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$are pushing EUV masks from 6 inches to 12 inches as High NA moves toward high volume manufacturing.

The larger format could improve fab productivity and remove stitching constraints as AI chips get much more complex.
