Minrex Resources (ASX:MRR) has commenced greenfield drilling at the Western Expansion target of its Tlamino Project to test extensions beyond outcropping deposits.
The new programme contrasts with recent activity that focused primarily on historical shallow drilling at the Barje deposit.
CEO Max Piirto commented, "The speed of the programme reflects the shallow, outcropping nature of the deposit, and with geological modelling already underway, we are well placed to shortly deliver our maiden JORC mineral resource estimate.”
The exploration work includes testing a trend over 1km between Barje and Liska, while tenders for a scoping study target completion by October.
Following the announcement the Minrex Resources share price was unchanged at $0.013.
The exploration programme follows the completion of 33 infill drill holes totaling 3,398m at the Barje deposit.
Minrex Resources continues to advance geological modelling to support a maiden JORC mineral resource estimate once final assays arrive.
