$AMZN — Amazon’s AI Story Is Getting Bigger

When I think about AI stocks, $NVDA is usually the first name that comes to mind.

But I’m increasingly watching $AMZN.

Why?

AWS is becoming one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure buildout. Amazon and NVIDIA recently announced plans to deploy 2 million additional NVIDIA GPUs across AWS’s global infrastructure, alongside deeper work across networking, CPUs and AI systems.

And Amazon’s latest moves show that the AI opportunity goes far beyond buying GPUs.

Just this week, Amazon signed a $2.4B initial agreement with Generac for backup generators for its data centers, with potential purchases reaching up to $8B.

That tells me something important:

AI infrastructure is becoming an entire ecosystem.

🧠 GPUs

☁️ Cloud computing

⚡ Power

🏗️ Data centers

🔌 Networking

🤖 AI applications

Amazon is sitting across several of those layers.

AWS also recently launched an AI-powered grid-planning program aimed at helping utilities deal with rising electricity demand and increasingly complex interconnection requests.

The opportunity is huge — but so is the spending.

Amazon is committing massive amounts of capital to AI infrastructure, so investors will ultimately want to see that spending translate into AWS growth, higher AI revenue and stronger returns.

That’s the part I’m watching.

For me, the interesting question isn’t:

“Is Amazon an AI stock?”

It’s:

“Can Amazon turn the AI infrastructure boom into a durable earnings engine?” 👀

$NVDA may be supplying the chips.

$GNRC may be supplying the backup power.

But $AMZN is building the platform where much of the AI workload actually runs.
