$Apple(AAPL)$  Apple's path toward a $5 trillion market cap lines up with a pretty striking trend in its annual profits. A chart covering the company's financial performance over the last two decades shows a remarkable expansion phase after the leadership change.

Back in 2011, the year Tim Cook became CEO, Apple's profit structure looked completely different from what we see now. Since then, the company has steadily built up earnings, reaching $112.0 billion in annual profits by 2025.

Analysts point to tight supply chain management, strong growth in recurring high-margin services, and consistent hardware refresh cycles as the main drivers behind that explosive profit growth over the past decade.
