Unlike some beaten-down stocks where the decline reflects weakening fundamentals, Adobe still owns a powerful ecosystem across Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and enterprise creative workflows. The biggest concern is whether generative AI disrupts that moat, but I think AI could also strengthen it if Adobe successfully monetises Firefly and embeds AI deeper into products customers already use.
What attracts me after the sell-off is the combination of recurring revenue, strong cash generation and a valuation that has compressed significantly from its former premium.
I would watch AI-related revenue growth, Creative Cloud retention and margins closely. If those remain healthy, the market may eventually realise that AI is not only a threat to Adobe, but potentially another monetisation layer.
A falling price alone does not make a bargain, but ADBE is the beaten-down name I would put highest on my 2027 watchlist.
