MAS lifting off dividend cap for bank and finance sector
The MAS had recently announced that they would lift the dividend restrictions on local bbanks and finance companies.
In financial year 2020, the MAS has requested the banks and finance companies dividend payout per share at 60% of pervious year FY 2019 and offer the shareholders the option to receive the reminding dividends to be paid in shares in the lieu of cash.
