鲍威尔称美联储将很快发布有关央行数字货币的讨论文件
美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔称，美联储尚未就央行数字货币作出决定，但“很快会发布一份讨论文件。”
“重要的是要达到能迅速就此做出明智决定的地步。我认为我们并没有落后，”鲍威尔在周三美联储政策会议召开后的新闻发布会上表示。“在这件事情上，做得对比做得快更重要。我们是世界储备货币。”
美联储官员在数字支付的问题上一直行动缓慢，先是与波士顿联储和麻省理工学院启动了研究央行数字支付系统技术引擎的项目。
鲍威尔表示，这将是由政府和国会参与的“政府层面”的决定。
