2 Minutes to Learn Earnings Performance of Top Companies

@Tiger_Earnings
Tiger Earnings has compiled the earnings performances of major companies over the past two weeks. In the rate hike environment, which company continued to break investors' heart , and which company surprised us. Join me to find out! $Netflix(NFLX)$ The most important indicator--the number of subscribers decreased by 200,000 globally. Although analysts downgraded their estimate, consensus market expectations were 2.5 million growth. Revenue also fell slightly short of expectations, with actual $7.87 billion and market consensus expectations of $7.94 billion. Netflix has falling for 2 consecutive quarters. It's big question for both investors and management that what is Netflix next growth point? $Snap Inc(SNAP)$ Revenue was $1.063 billion, up 38.1% year-over-year, but also slightly missed consensus expectation of $1.069 billion. Its guidance for Q2 revenue is expected to be 20%-25%, below market expectations of 28%. $Snap Inc(SNAP)$ didn't experience a big drop or rally after earnings. It indicated that the market is comfortable with its current valuation. $Microsoft(MSFT)$ Revenue was $49.36 billion, up 18% year-over-year and beat the market expectations of $47.5 billion. Operating income was $20.36 billion, up 19.5% year-over-year and beat market expectations of $20.04 billion. Its free cash flow reached a new all-time high of $20.05 billion. All major financial indicators beat market expectations, and rose more than 5% after the earnings release. $Alphabet(GOOG)$ Revenue was $68.011 billion, up 23% compared to $55.314 billion in the same period last year. Net income was $16.436 billion, down 8.3% compared to $17.930 billion in the same period last year. All major indicators missed market expectations, and revenue growth was the lowest in the past two years. It fell as much as 6.7% after the earnings release. But its earnings were not as bad as the market sentiment. $Meta Platforms, Inc.(FB)$ Revenue was $27.908 billion, up 7% year-over-year, less than the market consensus of $28.23 billion. Gross profit was $21.9 billion, and gross margin was 78.5%, still less than the expected 79.0%. Q1 daily active users (DAU) averaged 1.96 billion, up 4% year-over-year, beat the market's consensus of 1.94 billion. The performance of $Meta Platforms, Inc.(FB)$ next few earnings will determine whether after-earnings'rally can be sustained. FAAMG vs SPX. in the past 6 months $Visa(V)$ Revenue grew 25% year-over-year to $7.2 billion, beating the consensus estimate of $6.83 billion. Visa rose 4.43% after-hours following the company's second-quarter results. In an inflationary environment, payment companies are clearly benefiting. This is a big reason why Visa has outperformed the broader market this year. $Apple(AAPL)$ Apple Q2 revenue was $97.3 billion, beating analysts' estimates of $94.1 billion. Earnings per share were $1.52, beating market expectations of $1.43. The gross margin was 43.7%, beating market expectations of 43.1%. However, Apple fell 3 percent after the warnings on the sales in this quarter. $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ Revenues was $116.43 billion, up 7.3% year-over-year and was equal to market consensus of $116.43 billion. However, it reported a loss of $3.8 billion, or -$7.56 per share, well below market expectations for earnings of $8.40. The company expects revenue of $116 billion to $121 billion for the next quarter, also below the market expectation of $125 billion. $Rivian Automotive, Inc.(RIVN)$ investment became the biggest factor for Amazon's losses. Semiconductor Sector $Qualcomm(QCOM)$ Revenue was $11.16 billion, up 41% year-over-year, was significantly higher than the market's expectation of $10.6 billion. Its guidance for next quarter was equally surprising, with revenue guidance in the range of $10.5-11.3 billion, with yoy growth rate in the 30-40% range. This is in stark contrast to the tumbling stock price and the market's pessimistic expectations for the semiconductor. As a result, it was no surprise that Qualcomm's stock price surged 6% after the bell. $ASML Holding NV(ASML)$ Revenue was 3.5 billion euros, slightly beating the company's guidance of 3.3-3.5 billion, and market expectations. But its year-on-year growth was negative 19%. And for the Q2 guidance, the company expects gross margin between 49%-50%, far less than the 53% expected by analysts. Meanwhile, second-quarter revenue forecast topped out at 5.3 billion euros, also far less than analysts' forecast of 5.86 billion. After the earnings report, $ASML Holding NV(ASML)$ continued to fall 14% That's all about the earnings performances in the last two weeks. Hope all tigers are fully prepared for the coming earnings.
