Commune Lifestyle, a subsidiary of the Mainboard-listed Koda, has announced its first-ever collaboration with Singapore Airlines (SIA). The collaboration will be part of SIA’s “The Upcycling Project”, which the airline launched in August 2021. The collaboration will see Commune Lifestyle’s latest designs titled “The Continental”. “The Continental” will be a capsule collection created as part of the latest initiative of “The Upcycling Project”. “The Continental” aims to bring SIA’s archetypal aviation aesthetics closer to home with re-imagined versions of the retired SIA aircraft cabin windows and carts. The collection will take on an upcycling approach, including giving 50 exclusive original SIA in-flight galley carts a fresh lease of life. These carts, which previously served in-flight meals and beverages, now feature a sleek black powder-coated finish, contrasted with walnut-hued storage shelves and a leather utility pouch. The collection will also include a wall feature with a magnetic key catch and letter organizer, which incorporates the original upcycled window frame from SIA’s retired aircraft fuselage The collection is not expected to have a material impact on Koda’s earnings per share (EPS) and net asset value (NAV) for the FY2023 ending June 30, 2023. Shares in Koda and SIA closed at 62 cents and $5.35 respectively on July 19. $KODA LTD(BJZ.SI)$$SINGAPORE AIRLINES LTD(C6L.SI)$
