2010: Fortress Investment Group acquired the business from AIG.

2011: Fortress Investment Group changed its name to Springleaf Holdings, Inc.

2013: OneMain Financial went pubilc.

2015: Springleaf Holdings, Inc. acquired OneMain Financial from Citigroup for $4.25 billion. The new company kept the name OneMain Financial.
