👍Twitter - What will happen next?
@Axekay:$Twitter(TWTR)$has experienced lots of happenings these few days as a result of $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ founder Elon Musk's sudden involvement in the company. In summary: 1) Elon Musk acquired significant number of shares in Twitter. 2) Elon Musk was offered to sit in the board of Twitter but he rejected. 3) Elon Musk made an offer to buy over 100% of the company. So, what will happen next? The management, board and other shareholders of Twitter has to decide whether they will like to take up Elon Musk's offer. Let's consider the possible implications to the two scenarios below. 1) Take up Elon Musk's offer: The current share price will probably soar to nearing Elon Musk's proposed purchase cost and the whole company will be privatised under the leadership of Elon Musk. And maybe thrive under this visionary leader? However, those who bought the shares previously at its peak (e.g. $60+, $70+) will suffer great losses. 2) Reject Elon Musk's offer: Elon Musk might sell all his Twitter shares. There will also be FUD that results in even more selling and short selling, causing the share price to plummet further. So, which scenario (1, 2) so you think is more likely to occur? In my opinion, the management and board might still want to retain control over the company and not accept the offer by Elon Musk. Hence, I feel scenario 2 may most likely to occur. Do note that this is just my opinion and should not be taken as a fact. Not vested in $Twitter(TWTR)$, wishing all the investors and traders of TWTR to stay safe be cautious of new developmemt of events. Do share your views too!
