Guo Yinghua will temporarily take Guo Jijun’s place, responsible for overseeing the operation of the two departments. Pundits had commented that it is normal for Alibaba Cloud to undergo management changes when a new fiscal year comes. However, the personnel changes might be triggered by business adjustments as well, pundits said. Alibaba’s 2021 Q4 report shows that Alibaba Cloud’s revenue growth slowed down to 20% in Q4, lowest since the business group started releasing statistics on its business operation. Alibaba Cloud has achieved profitability for five consecutive quarters and maintained growth. The company continued to rank first in the Chinese market with revenues of 72.4 billion yuan. Alibaba Cloud, also known as Aliyun, is Chines e-commerce giant Alibaba Group’s cloud technology arm.
