It's a good time to reflect on your investment journey!! 

In this era, information is king!! Keeping up with the latest developments and news is critical for predicting the market trend!! It gives you the upper hand to enter the market at a more appropriate time to optimize your chances of winning!! Previously Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway jumped into Activision Blizzard after a state lawsuit alleging a sexist culture at the game publisher, which sent the stock price down. Coincidentally, Microsoft announced its intention to buy Activision Blizzard in mid-January for $68.7 billion. This allows Buffett to notch a handsome profit if the acquisition closes. 

Next, it's alway good to learn from others and create your own unique portfolio that suits your risk appetite! For me, I have a portfolio with US growth stocks (higher risk), SG dividend stocks (less volatility), bonds and cash (ammo for more dips). The only way to win is to always have spare cash so that you can buy on dip and remember to cash up when you think the profit is huge enough. This way you will alway have spare ammo for the next dip. If you don't have the habit of averaging down when the share price tanks, you will need a longer time to reach profitability. 

Finally, do not chase high!!! Alway buy when it hits your realistic and desired entry price. Don't be scared!! To be able to win big, you must have the guts to lose big too!! Of course, always buy within your means. Try not to over-leverage as there's no such thing as "bao-jiak" or "sure-win". Remember, your main source of income is still from your daily job!! Investment is to help generate some passive income to complement your salary!!
