2022 Investment review
@Dan1192:TLDR - it is shit. If you are looking for a positive inspiring article, please give a like and move on with your search because this is not it. Thanks for reading, here goes my review/rant.This year has been tumultuous from various perspectives i.e. work, family, investments. Note: Following are just my thoughts. Not a technical or detailed analysis. 1. CRYPTO / LUNA CRASH Started cryto in October 2021, bought quite a bit of crypto, especially LUNA. Why did I buy it? it's greed and being naive. when the LUNA ecosystem crash overnight, there's nothing that could be done. Put your money in crypto only if you can and willing to lose all of it. Basically it is another form off gambling. 2. EQUITIES I was doing day trades on a few stocks NIO, Xpeng, tsmc, etc. it's all fun and game until you get trapped. For me it's Xpeng, I bought it in the 30s with the aim of a small gain, but it tumbled madly due to the various reasons. Mainly too careless / preoccupied with life. In 2021, my portfolio with tiger was up about 30%. In 2022, I am down by 80%. All in all, this is my first recession since I started investing. It's painful but I took away some lessons from it. Putting them down below for my 2023 Investment Review and hope you can find some inspiration from this too. Fight on my fellow Tiger warriors. If it's too good to be true, it usually isn't. When the macro signals are bad, there's usually a deeper dip. Be patient. Be strict on following my investment strategy. Don't procrastinate. Greedy when others are fearful is a good thing, but too greedy is not. You make rash decision. Lastly, Health is wealth, love your family. Thank you for reading my rant. Let's do better in 2023 together. If you want my opinion on anything life, equities, crypto, put your questions in the comments section below cheers. $XPeng Inc.(XPEV)$ $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ $NIO Inc.(NIO)$
