Why Roblox is already defeating Meta in the Metaverse

@Hypershock
Roblox is a powerful player in the Metaverse Facebook (FB) changed their name to Meta Platforms $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ as part of a plan for Meta to blast into the Metaverse to literally become parts of people’s lives. The change was huge, as Meta was ready to spend hundreds of billions of dollars into new ventures into the Metaverse. Their goal is to change how people work, live, interact, play, and more to create a more integrated society. However, their change led to a disaster. Due to their terrible way of dealing with the Metaverse, Meta lost hundreds of billions of dollars of market capitalization, leading to low investor trust and a somewhat difficult future to comprehend for the company. Meta stock One company, however, started exploring the Metaverse at around 18 years ago: Roblox. Roblox $Roblox Corporation(RBLX)$ is a game where users can play, chat, interact, and create games of their own. Their market cap is around 24 billion dollars, and even though that is lower than Meta, it has a more stable future than Meta does due to it’s outlook. Roblox stock chart Meta’s Current Problems Meta is betting big on the metaverse. $15 billion dollars worth of funding has gone into Reality Labs, Meta’s metaverse operations sector. So far, Meta has lost 650 billion dollars in value and investors who are optimistic about the Metaverse are reconsidering Meta’s direction. I’ve talked about howMeta could succeedand defeat it’s problems, but it has got lot to conquer. Poor Graphics Meta is dealing with terrible graphics with the system, which ultimately decreases user’s interest. And with Mark Zuckerberg’s terrible avatar picture, trust has decreased in Meta, despite them updating on design. Lack of Immersion There aren’t many open world games to play from, and these games are not enjoyable compared to other games out there. It just isn’t engaging as of now. Multiple Errors There are multiple shutdowns and glitches occurring in Meta, and this led to further decreased trust and decreased play time. To solve this issues, Meta needs to restructure itself to better solve the metaverse. It needs to update its software and create and add new games to the platform. Meta needs to take things step by step, and they are offering way to much in a short time. If Meta does succeed, however, it will add hundreds of billions of dollars, and maybe become a multi-trillion dollar company. However, it needs good ideas and efficiency to become successful and accomplish their goals. While Meta is spending billions of dollars on Reality Labs, one company have already accomplished gaming in the metaverse: Roblox Why Roblox is successful Roblox started in 2006, and from there, they launched a community full of ideas, games, communities, clothing, and more which have made Roblox to what it is today. Creativity and Freedom Roblox allows their users to create their own games using Roblox studio and make Robux, digital currency that users can use to get items, clothing, and more. Roblox also allows users to wear thousands of different avatar items, and create their own clothing as well, which can generate another source of revenue for users. Roblox allows creativity and freedom which is highly engaging to it’s teenage and child platform Unique Experiences Roblox has many different games that people in the community create. What’s different about Roblox games is that its own users create it, not developers of multi-million dollar companies. This leads to a greater variety of games being published since these games are not created for profit and rather for fun, which leads to many different types of games which appeal to its user base. More distinct games leads to a more happier and active user base. Free To Play Unlike most popular games out there, Roblox is completely free. People can spend money on clothing and other amazing things, but they can play the game for free and still have a great time. More people will play the game, which leads to increased popularity of the game Roblox’s Future Roblox, as planned in their 2022 RDC (Roblox Developer Conference) stated that they are adding voice chat, avatars that move based on how the user moves, an updated Roblox Studio, an upgraded engine for higher quality games, adding Layered clothing, giving more tools for newer developers to succeed, adding new ads in game so developers can earn more money and companies can advertise more on Roblox, and more. They ended by stating that they want Roblox and the users to create a global community that will reimagine how people will interact with one another. This type of innovation and message is what Roblox excels at. This is why they are a leader in the metaverse, and will continue to do so in a positive way. Conclusion Roblox is already defeating Meta at the metaverse, and it’s innovations and future show it. If Meta takes a similar route by successfully updating and connecting with their users in a positive way, then Meta could become successful. Roblox isn’t perfect, but it has lots of things that they are doing right. If Meta wants to become a leader in the metaverse, then it has to try much harder and think outside the box. After all, Roblox did start a long time ago. As of now and probably for a long time, Roblox is defeating Meta in the metaverse. @TigerStars @CaptainTiger @MillionaireTiger
