These are a few names that paid dividends for over 100 years.
$Coca-Cola(KO)$ $General Mills(GIS)$ $Johnson Controls(JCI)$ $Church & Dwight(CHD)$ $Stanley Black & Decker(SWK)$ $Eli Lilly(LLY)$ $UGI Corp(UGI)$ $Procter & Gamble(PG)$ $Colgate-Palmolive(CL)$ $PPG Industries Inc(PPG)$
I am still more of a buyback guy when it comes to energy. What is one non-energy stock you would buy now and keep adding for say 25 years to get dividend income when retire? I am thinking of KO $Coca-Cola(KO)$
one of the most cyclical industries with a very poor long-term track record/capital allocation. I am saying 25+ years, not 5 yrs.
Interest rate sensitive industry which means there is a high probability that in the next 25yrs+, they may cut their payouts.
I try to stay away from financials. Somewhere down the road, they always find a way to mess things up (which results in cutting divvy).
Lundin mining. Cooper play. They pay special dividends when the price is strong. Are you confident that they won't cut dividends any time in the future? I am not when it comes to commodities.
