市場擔心隨着利率上升，更多的美國和歐洲銀行可能陷入困境，歐洲銀行股週五暴跌，德意志銀行股價一度急瀉14.9%，其後跌勢縮窄至約8%。 德銀的信貸違約掉期(credit default swaps, CDS)合約成本飆升，據標準普爾市場分析數據，德銀CDS從兩天前的142個基點，一度飆升至220個基點以上，是自2018年底以來的最高水平。對於本次德銀事件，投資市場感到意外。
