‌$DBS GROUP HOLDINGS LTD(D05.SI)$  ‌XD, what's next? 

Congrats to everyone who collected their $0.92 dividends today! To review my previous post, I recommended to buy at 1st target of $32.50, 2nd target of $31.25 and 3rd target of $30. I personally managed to buy some at $31.99. I was "lucky" because price opened and gap down straight to $31.70 from the previous day closing of $32.70. Needless to say, I immediately bought since it was well below my 1st target of $32.50. That is why it is important to set a target based on your analysis instead of buying based on gut feel. 

I did not buy a lot but my investing strategy for local banks is always to buy regularly at area of value. Because nobody is able to predict how high or low a stock can go and there is no point to try and catch the "lowest". 

Refer to the chart, now that DBS has XD, price has dropped back to my 1st target again. However I do not recommend to buy now. I am not going to discuss about any fundamental kind of opinions because I realised the current market has as many bulls as there are bears. So there is no point to try and tell a bull the market is dropping or tell a bear you are missing out on the rally. 

Therefore I am just going to go thru my simple trading strategy. 1 of the key things I look at is the 50/100 days moving average. Generally if 50/100 EMA crossover lower, price is in a "bear mode" and vice versa. As we can see from the chart, the last time 50/100 EMA crossover in May 2022, price drop to as low as 29.45. I am not saying it will happen again but I won't ignore the possibility of it reaching that level again. Especially with the recent banks fiasco, I think it is only normal for people to be wary of bank stocks. 

So as usual, I will be queuing for my 2nd target at $31.25 follow by $30.00 which could be another few weeks of patient waiting. Do let me know your opinion for DBS and like my post if you would like to continue hearing about my updates.
