$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ The maths here for valuations are close to accurate, but the numbers are based on known “YoY quantities ”. NVDA is not necessarily quantifiable. It’s a new stage in the industry, and a monster of a market leader. Nobody has created a formula for accurate 5-7-10 year, forward looking valuations for companies like this… and it’s a very frustrating unknown.
That’s the business we’ve chosen. It was also irrational exuberance to invest in $Apple(AAPL)$ $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ $Microsoft(MSFT)$ ETC., ten or more years ago, and yet, here we are.
I’m buying because this company is very much a necessary technology. That mean’s unrealistic valuations. But when the world/institutions no longer needs NVDA, then I will no longer need to own shares. I guess if it’s going to be this wild and crazy, then I guess I have to sleep with one eye open… and my finger on the trigger. Hope I don’t shoot myself in the foot! OUCH!!
