White House announces Tesla’s plan to offer some EV chargers to all vehicles

According to an announcement made by the White House on Wednesday, Tesla, the leading electric car company, will make a selection of its charging stations accessible to all electric vehicles in the United States by the end of next year. This marks the first time Tesla is opening up its charging network to non-Tesla EVs, with a plan to make a minimum of 7,500 chargers from the company’s Supercharger and Destination Charger networks available to non-Tesla EVs by the end of 2024.

This initiative to expand the nation’s most reliable and largest charging network to all drivers is a significant step towards promoting the use of electric vehicles, which is a crucial element of President Joe Biden’s efforts to combat climate change. According to Mitch Landrieu, a White House official responsible for implementing the 2021 infrastructure law signed by President Biden, this move will electrify the great American road trip, as President Biden envisioned.

Landrieu believes that with this initiative, charging an EV will become as convenient as filling up at a gas station. The White House also announced a series of developments on Wednesday, including new standards that will make EV charging networks reliable and convenient for all Americans, particularly those driving long distances. These new standards are expected to guarantee that every American can use a charging network, regardless of their vehicle or location.

Tesla overvalued and 1x upside. Nio 20x upside and way undervalued. It’s obvious which one will be a better return.
