Options Market Statistics (2/27): Are Options Traders Betting on a Big Move in AMC Entertainment?

Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk has for years teased the world with his dream of an affordable electric car. This week, fans hope, he will explain what he has in mind - and perhaps how he can afford to build it. $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  shares fell over 2.57% last Friday, with option volume of nearly 2.92 million, and calls accounted for 54% of the volume. The 195 calls and 197.5 puts were traded most actively, respectively.

$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ shares fell over 1.6% last Friday, with option volume of nearly 1.22 million, and puts accounted for 54.7% of the volume. The $232.50 calls were traded most actively.

Canada Pension Plan sold 85% of its $Apple(AAPL)$ shares. The manager sold 3 million Apple shares in the fourth quarter to cut its investment to 504,575 shares. Apple shares dipped 2.67% last Friday, with option volume of nearly 1.02 million, and calls accounted for 50.6 of the volume. The $146 calls were traded most actively.

$AMC Entertainment(AMC)$ shares edged lower last Friday. Option volume topped nearly 620,000, and puts accounted for over 60% of the volume. The 6.00 and 3.00 puts expiring in two months were traded most actively.

$Luminar Technologies, Inc.(LAZR)$  shares rocketed over 12% last Friday, with volume over 3x normal at nearly 520,000 contracts, and calls accounted for 61.7% of the volume. The 8.00 and 12.00 calls expiring in two months were traded most actively.
