$Grab Holdings(GRAB)$ fell during post market hours to a low of $2.62. Despite announcing that it would break even in Q3 2024 instead of its previous Q4, it has not gained investors' confidence. Even its lower than expected cashburn has not helped. What does the future bode for Grab? I think there is an uncertain especially with regards to the recent CPF contribution. How the extra cost will be passed either to Grab itself or the consumers is unknown, but what is for certain is someone will have to pay and profits will be affected. Of course, that is not to say that the insurance protection or the CPF contribution is not important, but the cost of these initiatives has to come from somewhere. While Grab's business model is improving and is apparent in its lower losses, Grab needs to work on expediting this process so as to retain investors. Most have come off the back oflosing more than 80% from the time it was listed as a SPAC and waiting till now should certainly not have been a bed of roses. Where can Grab improve? My take is in it's merchant payments and integration with services. Incentives are good but burn profit so convenience is the next best thing. Of course a fair loyalty programme helps. Other incentives include user friendly apps, good customer service which provides a more understanding ear and of course, options. I just book my December holidays through Grab (and Agoda) and it was a breeze. There could be some areas for improvement but through continuous feedback and willingness to change, I think it can get there. Lastly, I think Grab needs to continue to innovate. As a superapp, it is not just bound to ride hailing or delivery service. Perhaps one day it could also have a crypto exchange in conjunction with financial institutions. Who knows? After all, it does have a financial segment. Well, here's hoping that it succeeds! @TigerStars @MillionaireTiger @CaptainTiger
