@Jo Tan:As a long term investor, I prefer stocks you can depend on and hold on to for the long term. This is why I chose $DBS GROUP HOLDINGS LTD(D05.SI)$ , because it is a defensive stock. Similarly for football, I prefer players who engender the same values: Dependable, steadfast and won't let you down. That being said, I had a hard time choosing between Fabio Cannavaro and Sergio Ramos, both who are some of the greatest defenders of our time and are world cup winners in their respective teams, Italy and Spain. But I eventually settled on Sergio Ramos. He not only won the 2010 world cup but has also won UEFA European Championship twice. In terms of playing for Real Madrid, he has won the Champions League 4 times (I don't really want to talk about his time in PSG as he was made to leave Madrid when he was still a capable defensive stalwart). Not only can he defend, but he is known to score goals as well. That passion to move both at the front and back of the field is what I like. Similar to DBS, which is also the anchor of the STI where it stabilises (defense) and brings the stocks up (attacks). Simply put, I see DBS as the team captain of the STI just as Sergio Ramos was the team captain of the world cup winning Spain Team. Most of all, I really admire his loyalty and steadfast belief in his team. These are qualities I am trying to cultivate as a long term investor in my stocks. I want to learn not to "jump" at the slightest stock fluctuations and remain calm and be the rock of the team (although I must admit Ramos isn't so cool and can be a hothead). But he is really someone we can look up to and that's why Ramos is my favourite footballer. @TigerStars @MillionaireTiger @CaptainTiger
