春江水暖鴨先知，踏入五月，很多行業感受到經濟放緩，更多大馬交易所上市公司＂下調＂盈利預測。 接下來的季度，預料會有更多上市公司交出比市場預期更差的盈利表現。 四月至今，共有36家上市公司發佈最新季度業績，分析員下調20家公司或55.6%的共全年盈利預測，而只有5家公司或13.9%的盈利預測調高。 至於那些尚未公佈今年第一季度企業盈利季（1QCY2023）業績的公司，彭博彙編的數據顯示，過去四周有27家公司的每股盈利預測被調低，而同期有20家公司的盈利被上調。
