Today(22 May 2023) the futures edge lower as I suspect the news of debt ceiling talk stalled are making investors concerned about whether Republican would have the “pause talk” happening again today(22 May 23). I would expect the market to open lower. Today, I think the trading strategy would be into Healthcare - Pharmaceuticals and Biopharmaceuticals stocks. Result from 19 May 2023. Both SOXL and TQQQ perform below expectations in the second half of trading on 19 May 2023 when debt ceiling talks paused. It was only resumed on Friday evening, after a six-hour pause triggered by House Republican negotiators walking out of the room in frustration.
