Today (26 May 2023) the premarket NASDAQ futures edge higher, reason might be due to stocks still enjoying the AI boom surge. S&P Futures Tick Lower Ahead of Key U.S. Inflation Data, U.S. Debt-Ceiling Talks in Focus. But we have U.S. PCE Data (YoY and MoM) coming up at 8.30am(EST), I think they might come in higher than last month (March) I would expect the market to open slightly lower as investors will trade cautiously as Fed might go back to rate hike regime again. Today, I think today my trading strategy would be into Result from 25 May 2023. $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ has performed well, due to the AI boom because of strong earnings report by Nvidia (NVDA). Here is the predicted result for today (26 May 23) Today we have PCE data coming at 8.30am(EST) which I believe might go higher than last month, this would make rate hike to come back as PCE is Fed preferred mode of measurement for inflation. $Marvell Technology(MRVL)$ has surge in premarket as its reported revenue beats estimates on AI Boom. I would look at target Entry Price to be around $56-$56.50, if it goes below $56 I will check Bear strength , if go above $59 and maintain, MRVL could be headed above $65. Sentiment Analysis of predicted result 3 of the sentiments for these 5 stocks are positive (0 or above). This might explain why there is a nice surge in premarket. Summary Do take cautious in trading stocks that has risen on news, this might be a short term surge. Do take note of U.S. PCE data release at 8.30a.m.(EST), there might be some adjustment after the data. I will monitor closely how it will be trading 1-2 hours in premarket before actual trading starts at 9.30am(EST).
