Ok
@SirBahamut:$Sea Ltd(SE)$ Hmm indeed a curious case of sudden plunge in share price. As Captain Tiger rightfully pointed out, this is not triggered because ofa systematic risk like interest rate, and there is no company announcement that is material enough to cause a sell-off. If you study the daily short volume, it spiked up suddenly yesterday suggesting that there is some investors taking a large short position on this counter. Sir Bahamut is not an expert on internet stocks, but there are advanced data that can tell you the MAU of shopee, free fire and Garena, so this could potentially triggered such short positions. I previously shared my view on this stock. I think Forrest Li has taken urgent cost-cutting steps to ensure the company will be self-sufficient within 12-24 months, otherwise it will risk having to do dilutive equity fund raising (like what Credit Suisse is doing now). Shopee's potential is tremendous and it could be Asia's next Amazon. However, Sea Ltd no longer has its cash cow Garena to fund Shopee's cash-burning ambition anymore. Whether to invest in Sea Ltd now depends on your conviction and faith in Forrest Li and his management team. For purpose of tiger trade, I was bullish Shopee will close green from now to Friday end. @Daily_Discussion@CaptainTiger
