【Interview】DiAngel's opinions on investments
@TigerClub:「There is a saying…”Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations” Investment is never always smooth sailing for everyone. Even Warren Buffett has his bad days too. 」 An optimist, DiAngel is not afraid to weather the bumps in the investment road. She considers herself a long-term value investor who does not mind temporary losses. Are you like this, too, Tiger friends? @DiAngel My investment journey is never smooth sailing. Being a long term investor, I never thought of cutting loss. I will do DCA if I see a potential in the stock.I am a high risk taker as I hold individual country UT. No venture no gain but it might not be suitable for everyone. Q:Can you share with us your investment story I started trading since 2018. My first stock was Singtel – at a loss now but I am not giving up. During covid, I bought my biggest holding on Singapore Airlines. The gains from Singapore Airlines have pull up my overall portfolio. Hence, I am in green zone. Q:Can you tell me what stocks you currently own?Is the portfolio diversified across a number of industries? I have a mixture of blue chips and Reits. As I am a long term investor, I kept all my SG stocks in CDP. I also invested in Unit Trusts. I classified my investment portfolio into 4 sectors: -SG stocks kept in CDP -UT – global, Asia and US -ESOP -US stocks via Tiger Q:Are you considering investing in other market assets besides US and Singapore stocks? Not at the moment as I am contented with US and SG markets. Maybe in the future. Q:Can you tell us your most unforgettable investing story(get considerable return or suffer from a heart-broken loss)? How did you feel at that time? Unforgettable investing story will be Merck. Thanks to an article published by Tiger. I think it was from Motley Fool that Merck is a potential stock. It took me a while of doing some research that I decided to venture in Merck. It has been generating profits since the day I bought the stock. My lucky charms!$Merck(MRK)$ Q:Do you have any new insights on recent market fluctuations? Volatility is here to stay. Trade with care and the money you can afford to lose Q:How do you do stock investment research in your everyday life? Do you have any research methods for newcomers? I will look into the P/B, P/E ratio and charting. I would say I am a mix of TA and FA. More incline towards TA as I love charting to determine entry point. Q:Was there a person you know that’s also a Tiger Trade investor that has shown you support or has given you a sense of comfort when you experience any setbacks? There are many Tiger Trade investors namely @Venus_M , @MHh , @Wayneqq, @SR050321 , @HelenJanet , @AliceSam , @Khikho etc etc We are like family. Hence whenever there is drawing contest, I will try to add my Tiger family in it. Q:Besides investing, how would you describe your day-to-day life? What is it like when you are not investing? I will be doing gardening and baking. Q:Do you plan to share other types of investment content in the Tiger Community in the future? maybe UT Q:What would you like to say to Tiger friends in our community? There are many roads lead to Rome. Please use the methodology that works for you to achieve your investment plan. There is a saying…”Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations” Investment is never always smooth sailing for everyone. Even Warren Buffett has his bad days too.
