Investing in our future to protect Mother Earth!! Recently, the Inflation Reduction Act which was passed by the House of Representatives, represents a major victory for climate change advocates. The new bill involves $369 billion allocation to energy security and climate change programs over the next 10 years. Furthermore, tax credits will be provided for manufacturing renewable energy solutions like solar panels, wind turbines and batteries. Will these incentives help to boost the company's future revenues and net profits? Highly likely!! So let's start investing for a better and cleaner future!! For those who are new to clean energy stocks, instead of picking each individual stock (which comes with higher risk), why not buy a basket of clean energy stocks via clean energy ETFs?? Here's a list of clean energy ETFs for your consideration: $iShares Global Clean Energy ETF(ICLN)$expense ratio = 0.42%, + 3.98% YTD, + 145% (5-years) $SPDR S&P Kensho Clean Power ETF(CNRG)$expense ratio = 0.45%, +5.16% YTD, + 237% (5-years) $Global X Solar ETF(RAYS)$expense ratio = 0.5%, + 1.45% YTD, started since Nov 21 (no 5-years data) $First Trust NASDAQ Clean Edge Green Energy Index Fund(QCLN)$expense ratio = 0.58%, - 9.25% YTD, + 250% (5-years) $Invesco Solar ETF(TAN)$expense ratio = 0.66%, +6.17% YTD, + 287% (5-years) Just for a comparison, the S&P500 is still down 13.7% YTD (+69.4% over 5-years), DJIA is down 9.6% YTD (+51.6% over 5-years), Nasdaq index is down 21.8% YTD (+97.6% over 5-years). Despite the recent bear market sell-down, most of these clean energy ETFs have positive returns YTD and its 5-years performance (+ 145 - 280%) is pretty impressive as well!! Invest in our future, invest in clean energy!! Those who have not add clean energy stocks to your portfolio, do consider adding them during this bear-market!!
