Google teams up with Marvell on AI inference chip to challenge Nvidia
According to The Information, Google's parent company Alphabet is talking to cooperate with Marvell Technology Group, and plans to develop new chips for AI reasoning, including memory processing units and new TPU chips, aiming to run AI models more efficiently and challenge Nvidia's GPU market position. Maywell will be responsible for the design services, and the collaboration has not yet been formally contracted, with the design expected to be completed in 2027.
