I opened $Carvana Co.(CVNA)$  ,CVNA: sold more as it continue to hit all time high. Consumer stock and in traditional automobile business with the internet twist. One can decide that it’s new age, yet the profitability is determined by the price of used car and its margins against new car sales and demand. Seeing the car, one might be mistaken this is a new AI or pharma companies that discovered new drugs to cure cancer. We’ll see if I am being cynical.

I opened $WBA 20241108 11.0 CALL$  ,WBA: collect 2.25% premium from these covered calls on WBA with strike at $11 which is 22% higher than current rate. Contracts will expire in 4 weeks on 8th Nov. WBA is one of the laggard and facing significant margin pressures and for the company to reinvent itself in the new economy. While pricing and valuation is low, it also mostly likely a value trap for now.

I closed $SMCI 20241018 45.0 PUT$  ,Close partial position with a week to go expecting some chops into next week. Prefer to secure some profits in case the Middle East conflict continues with retaliation.

I opened $iShares MSCI Brazil ETF(EWZ)$  ,EWZ: new counter I trade. Bought in started positions as the ETF reaches low and at support based on a descending channel. Looking for a swing up when the tide turns on this broad based Brazilian ETF.

I opened $TSLA 20241018 235.0 CALL$  ,Sold weekly covered call on tsla stock to earn premium. Huge sell off after robotaxi event breaking below $235 is bearish turning it into resistance again. The only catalyst for it to break above 235 is earnings so I think it should stay below by next Friday if so I will keep the full premium I got from selling this call

I opened $YINN 20241018 45.0 CALL$  ,Was contemplating whether to sell off the 100 shares I have for a small profit of $100 or to continue holding. Decided to sell a covered call option for decent premium, sold a put option at 37 and bought 2 put options at 34 for protection in the event tomorrow’s announcement doesn’t have the required impact on stock market next week. Shall see how it goes!

I closed $SMCI 20241018 45.0 PUT$  ,Decided to close all positions during this uncertain times. SMCI earnings will happen on Tuesday, 29 October, the deadline of delayed filing that causes the huge drop is on that day and the imminent retaliation by Israel is just around the corner. Would prefer to hold cash and wait for an opportunity to buy the dip if any.

I opened $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SI)$  ,Adding Dbs gradually for the rich dividends while it stays under pressure with a series of rate cuts for the next 1 year.

I opened $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$  ,Weekly DCA into PLTR! With all the war raging and AI having all the hype, it’s hard not to get into PLTR. Moreover they do have multiple hundreds of million dollars worth of contracts with the Pentagon.
