Portfolio Time Wrap :2023 recap and 2024 plan

I started stocks rather late around 2,3 years ago so I don't really have an investment plan nor the outcomes to determine how effective they were yet. Mainly the challenges were finding the best investment opportunities relative to risk, as there are so many choices out there[LOL]

The most loss in my profolio was $Lucid Group Inc(LCID)$ which is the 1st and last meme stock that I had brought. It had dropped more than half of the price when I brought and I didnt see any rebound [Facepalm]  [Spurting]

The most impactful events on my trading plan were the geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, such as the Russia-Ukraine war and the Israel-Hamas war, affecting oil prices, and the global supply chain disruptions due to natural disasters. I manage to sold my $Occidental(OXY)$  at a slightly higher price than my cost price (also getting the dividend) and covered some of my lost.

If given the chance to rewind time, I think I will be more careful on selecting or choosing the stock to invest.  I think to be able to get maximal gain from a stock, the main important is the people behind the company not the financial ratio and the ability to grasp its core business, potential market, product and service. because when it's healthy we won't get maximal gain. However if you're kind of ok with it, just do it since I also still play defensive with healthy FR companies.

I remember Peter Lynch quote 'Big companies have small moves, small companies have big moves', so I love growth proxy, story of a new product, small company who's able to generate income, or if possible good fundamental or current ratio is high at least. I like turn around proxy.

I think tech stock and chip stock is a good option such as the Magnificent 7 stocks and the rise of AI show that it will be the future. My investment strategies and plan for 2024 is to recover back my loss and doing some investment in ETF which will be more stable and less time consuming.
