REIT performance 🏢

Last time i was so confident with SG REITS because of their FA and Div Yield were good, the fact many REITS couldn't withstand the downturn during covid, their stocks prices continue to downtrend, many until now still could not recover, maybe simply low demand for the rental properties while interest rate is high, like got the slap left and right 😭 one of got suspended .

There is some REITS still survive like$CapLand Ascendas REIT(A17U.SI)$  $AIMS APAC Reit(O5RU.SI)$ the price ranges still similar one year ago, but i have sold these to take profit previously. If drop to low level again, should i buy back ?

How about the rest ? Either i cut loss or stay tune, keep holding what i have now ? there is one stock that i like but the price also continues to drop $Sasseur Reit(CRPU.SI)$ I am thinking to add (average down) if it drop to $0.60 after deduct dividend the loss is small at the moment but if it drop to 0.60 the loss become significant 😰 and I remember one tiger friend said some time the best is to do nothing ... 

just like i buy back $Geo Energy Res(RE4.SI)$  It drop further now 😰 

There is room to improve my decision, by reviewing my portfolio periodically, although the best to learn new skills too. 

My goal to be able to travel from my passive income, hope i will get there one day 😅

For new comer be careful with REITS, the history may show high dividend but that was last time not now. The Div yield show high because after div the stock price drop until so jialak !!!

Dont put all in one basket 🧺 

Waiting$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  to add a bit at $200 level. Now it is good to have fractions i can sell whenever price up 10% because the cost to buy 1% and sell 1% so i will still get 8% profit if spot the correct entry price. Not invesment advice pls DYODD.

    I am optimistic abt sg reits this year. My thesis is, inflation had peaked, which means interest rate too. Reits tend to corelate to interest rate, which shd come down gradually.

    Like wat is mentioned, important is look for strong reits. Me, too kana burnt by First reit, bought B4 covid, and Manulife reit, bought during covid. For Manulife, my thesis was totally wrong, I tot during covid, it's alrdy in distress and at gd price. It crashed

    The way to “play” S Reits is to find good sponsor and how long is your holding power. It was a bad decision to “play” non SG Reits. I m burned badly by First Reits. All your loss is nothing compared to mine. 😂🤭 my First Reits is standing at -70+%. I was warned by my HNW friend not to touch First Reits unless i m willing to loss that money.I was greedy by the 7-9% dividends payout. When First Reits has rights issue, i cashed them out for some kopi money. Better than nothing. Now this counter will be my very bottom counter to average down. I think i have other better counters to add on.


    Every trader or investor needs to pay some school fees to be better in stocks market.


    2024 will be a very tough year for trading. If you can park the money and also sleep well in the night, then just do it! Nike’s slogan. Otherwise, please HODL your hard earned cash.


    If you have read my post, i told a Tiger friend that i was burned badly by JPM China UT 😂😂 more than 50% loss. USD 5 figure.🫥🙄

      Lucky i did not buy big otherwise my loss will be much more 😰 i am low risk taker, did not expect high jump in short period. I just think div. I still keep USA stock monthly div at least still got div every mth… but i notice US stock dip jialak but can go up fast also… just like all those big names

      Thanks for sharing early stage i did not know what to buy, seeing many recommended S reits i jumped the wagon with good PB and good DY, i am looking at the percentage, i have alot other stock loss between 100 to 300 total maybe 2-3k but grateful overall still have profit.

      another lesson to add on that I learned is don't be fooled by the dividends promised.. alot of them do pay the percentage dividends but struggle to climb back up after the issue.. it's like paying yourself first from your own paper losses.. after awhile you realise how pointless it is..

      The company profit i still keep, but so far no news of dividend (green arrow) sasseur still give quarter div but the div is not enough to cover the loss 😰
