With over 23 years of trading experience, I’ve grown from a self-taught value investor to an

options strategist focused on consistency, sector strength, and AI-driven momentum.

My journey began in the early 2000s, when I was working full-time as a tutor, yet spent most of

my free time studying finance. One of my first books was Dummies Guide to Financial Analysis,

which opened my eyes to the mechanics of valuing companies. I started by building long-term

positions in trusted Singapore blue chips like OCBC and Singtel — both of which I continue to

hold today. Back then, investing was about patience, cash flow, and dividends.

Over the years, I expanded my knowledge by studying Dummies Guide to Technical Analysis,

which helped me understand price action, chart patterns, support/resistance zones, and

momentum. It gave me an edge in identifying entry and exit points — something pure value

investing lacked. Eventually, I took a step further and delved into Dummies Guide to Options

Investing, which transformed my approach completely. Options gave me the tools to generate

income, hedge positions, and make tactical moves in any market condition.

In 2024, I executed this knowledge with precision — focusing on AI stocks, especially Palantir

(PLTR). With high implied volatility and strong institutional interest, PLTR was the perfect

candidate for my favorite strategy: the wheel. By selling puts to buy the stock at a discount, and

then selling covered calls for steady income, I achieved an impressive 33% return, turning

around $40,000 of capital into over $13,000 in profits.
