US market on 02 Dec (Fri). Up or Down ? 8:30am We Will Know !
So happy that I posted the above article ytd (01 Dec). Why ?
My main grouse that prices rising > 18% is unsustainable; holds true.
And just like that, the stock prices took a breather ytd & fell marginally.
Similarly for stock that plunged (eg. $CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.(CRWD)$ ; its unrealstic too.
So, it recovered +5% after Wed (30/11) free fall.
On the first trading day of December, it was a mixed bag performance.
Recap :
- DJIA : -0.56% (-194.76 to 34,395.01).
- S&P 500 : -0.09% (-3.54 to 4,076.57).
- Nasdaq : +0.13% (+14.45 to 11,482.45). Still best of 3 indexes.
Looking at the Indexes' moving averages (MA), Dow Jones and Standards & Poor are above their respective 200 days Moving Average.
On the other hand, Nasdaq is still below its 200 days MA but closing in (fingers crossed)
What will US market be today - 02 Dec 2022 ?
If there is any catalyst for today, it would have to the following Labour Dept's reports :
- Non-Farm payroll
- Unemployment rate & hourly wages
Available from 8:30am (US time) onwards; will they be setting the tone for today's trading ?
According to Dow Jones, economists expect 200,000 jobs to be added to economy for Nov vs Oct's 261,000.
If "true", will this be sufficient stimulus to enable US market to close the week on a "high" ?
Looking at Pre-market indicator, the Oil (Energy) seems to be promising. As such, I will still be hankering after :
What about you ? Which sector/s stocks will you be aiming for ? Share them in the Comments section ?
Please "Like" this post ok ? Thanks in advance. The rating is important to me.
