XPENG this week 🤐

Very bad weeks for EV sector in August after the long rally in July. For this week, I continue to be bearish for $XPeng Inc.(XPEV)$ Bearish. There are a few main reasons to justify my point of view.

Earnings

Xpeng will report its unaudited financial results for the second quarter on Friday, August 18, before the US markets open.

For Xpeng's second-quarter earnings, no big surprises are expected, while the outlook for the third and fourth quarters will show meaningful sequential improvement driven by a strong G6 order book. As there is no any big positive surprise, the stock will not shoot up high probably.

Technical

Technical wise, let's look at XPeng chart. It fails to sustain the uptrend line and breaks below, which is not a good sign for the stock movement in short term. The next support will be somewhere around 14.88.
