In the realm of stocks, I've yet to dive,
    Options trading, where fortunes thrive.
Learning the ropes, step by step, I'll climb,
To write my own tale in the investing rhyme.

Though options await, I'm not quite there,
But other avenues, I'll eagerly dare.
With each new venture, a lesson I'll glean,
In the grand saga of wealth, yet to be seen.
In the Tiger Events den, options tales will unfold, each story a gem, more precious than told.

Option trading can indeed be a lucrative strategy if done correctly, but it also carries significant risks. It requires a deep understanding of the options market, including the various strategies and factors that can impact option prices.

As an AI language model, I don't have personal experiences or positions in option trading. However, I can provide some general information about option trading.

Options are financial derivatives that give the holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an underlying asset at a predetermined price within a specific time period. There are two types of options: call options and put options. Call options give the holder the right to buy the underlying asset, while put options give the holder the right to sell the underlying asset.

Option trading allows investors to profit from price movements in the underlying asset without actually owning it. Traders can use options to speculate on the direction of the market, hedge their existing positions, or generate income through option writing strategies.

However, it's important to note that options trading involves risks, including the potential loss of the entire investment. Options have expiration dates, and if the underlying asset doesn't move in the anticipated direction within the specified time frame, the option may expire worthless.

Furthermore, options trading requires careful consideration of factors such as volatility, time decay, and the Greeks (delta, gamma, theta, and vega), which measure the sensitivity of option prices to changes in various variables.

It's crucial for traders to have a solid understanding of options and the associated risks before engaging in option trading. It's recommended to educate oneself, conduct thorough research, and consider seeking advice from a qualified financial professional.

Remember, option trading can be highly complex and speculative, and it's important to only invest what you can afford to lose. Always practice risk management and have a well-defined trading plan in place.

Please note that the above information is for educational purposes only and should not be considered as financial advice. Option trading involves risks, and individuals should carefully consider their own financial situation and risk tolerance before engaging in options trading.

If you have any specific questions about options or any other investment-related topics, feel free to ask!

when you are bearish on a stock or except it to drop for eg. $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ you can sell a covered call or buy a put, or do both like me! great time to earn some income as the stock falls.

Correction, buying put is only for sharp drop. If the stock is slow drop, you will end up losing money.

I've not started on options trading but am interested to know more on how it works. The good thing about it is that you can still earn a profit even if the stock price falls, if you make the right call 😉

I only trade options because underlying stocks can be very expensive. I had good days with NVDA stock, so I might be biased. Depends on the risk you are willing to take, can sell/buy put/call. I usually do selling options, and it needs to fulfil the margin requirement and excess liquidity.
Over 3 earning cycle of NVDA I managed to make 50k+ if I'm not wrong.
But not all sunshine, though. Because I usually sell options, I can be subject to assignment and can be stuck with stocks at ridiculous prices, but I can still sell covered options, so it's not too bad. Recently, I got assigned with AMD at 180, so that's that.
In conclusion, everything should be done with moderation and within your comfortable risk profile.
