Well, let's then have a look at how some of them made their stock predictions at that time!
@TigerHulk Bearish on TSLA(22 Jul): + 10.23%
Tesla's$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$
stock has been a topic of debate among investors, with some considering it overvalued due to its high price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio compared to its peers. This has led to concerns about the company's valuation and its potential impact on investor returns. Furthermore, the electric vehicle (EV) market is becoming increasingly competitive, with established automakers and new entrants vying for market share. This competition may lead to reduced market share and pricing pressure for Tesla, making it challenging for the company to maintain its current growth trajectory.
Regulatory risks also pose a significant threat to Tesla's business, particularly in key markets like China and Europe. Changes in government policies, regulations, and incentives can negatively impact Tesla's operations, and the company may need to adapt quickly to these changes to remain competitive.
In addition to these external factors, Tesla also faces execution risks. The company's ambitious growth plans, expansion into new markets, and ongoing projects (such as Gigafactories and Full Self-Driving) may face delays, cost overruns, or technical challenges. These risks can impact Tesla's ability to deliver on its promises and meet investor expectations.
Financial risks are also a concern for Tesla. The company's high research and development expenses, significant debt, and limited profitability may raise concerns about its financial sustainability. Investors may worry about Tesla's ability to generate enough cash to fund its operations and invest in future growth initiatives.
As the EV market grows, Tesla may also face market saturation. If competitors offer more affordable or attractive options, Tesla may experience decreased demand for its vehicles, which could impact its revenue and profitability.
Technological risks are another concern for Tesla. Rapidly evolving technology and shifting consumer preferences may render Tesla's products less competitive or obsolete. The company must continue to innovate and stay ahead of the curve to remain competitive.
Finally, supply chain risks can also impact Tesla's operations. Disruptions in the supply chain, particularly for critical components like batteries and semiconductors, can impact production and delivery timelines. This can lead to delays and increased costs, which can negatively impact Tesla's business.
@koolgal Bearish on SOXL(20 Jul): +15.47%
The worst performance was $Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares(SOXL)$
. SOXL has dropped 9% on Friday and in the past 5 days, it has tanked by a massive 27%. This is due to the leveraged nature of SOXL as it tracks the performance of the NYSE Semiconductor Index and provides 3 times leverage on its performance. There were 2 key factors that affected the semiconductor stocks.
Firstly Donald Trump said that Taiwan has to pay for its own defence. Taiwan is home to TSMC, the world's largest private foundry in the world. TSMC makes the most advanced chips and it has the many Big Tech companies as its customers including Nvidia, AMD, Microsoft, Meta Platforms and Google.
That remark by Donald Trump sent TSMC share price into a tailspin and other major Semiconductor stocks as well.
Then the Biden Administration said that it may invoke the 70 year old Foreign Direct Product Rule. This provision was introduced in 1959 to control trading of US technologies. This means that if a product was made using American technology, the US government has the power to stop it from being sold, including products made in a foreign country.
It is not surprising that the major Semiconductor stocks fell after this negative news.
I believe that this is a great time to go bargain hunting for great semiconductor stocks. My favourite is Nvidia. So I bought Nvidia on Thursday as I believe that it has lots of exponential growth ahead. Nvidia has 80% market share of the specialised AI chips that are selling like hot cakes.
As Warren Buffett likes to say When there is Fear in the markets it is time to be greedy.

[Notes]
1. Your content must be ORIGINAL and get [IDEA] or [PICK] in the Tiger Community to be eligible for the rewards. Besides, your post must be strongly related to the stock, and you need to state the reasons why you are bullish/bearish on it. The bullish or bearish reason for each stock must be over 200 characters, and it needs to be clear, detailed, and specific, with more extensive explanations preferred. General or vague reasons, such as "I am bullish on stock XX because the technical indicators are oversold" or "I am bearish on stock XX because its fundamentals are poor," will be considered invalid.
2. The cost price of your (simulated) position will be the stock price when you make a prediction post. The Rate or Return(RoR) will be calculated by your cost price & the week's close price of that stock you make predictions on.
3. For a single stock, you may make predictions multiple times, but only the last one will be counted. Initial prices are based on the time you post, and the prices recorded are the closing prices on Friday.
If you post before trading hours, the price is based on the opening price of that day.
If you post after trading hours, the price is based on the next opening price.
4.You can provide a comprehensive analysis and predict multiple highly correlated stocks to increase your chances of winning.For example, you can write an original analysis on the semiconductor industry and correlate it with the bullish or bearish stance on multiple semiconductor stocks such as AMD, NVDA, SOXX, and so on.
5. You may make predictions on all the stocks available (around 100 tickers), and the highest five RoRs will be counted in the Overall Weekly Prediction ranking. For individual stock rankings, regardless of how many stocks you predict, only the top 5 highest RoRs can make it to the list each week.
6.The distribution time for the vouchers will be sent in 10 days after the release of the list. Please be patient and wait for it.
