πππStock markets lingo can sound gibberish to non investors. It is common to say Strong hand, Weak hand, Diamond hand but to a non investor, it may imply that a person has arthritis if he has a weak hand. In actual fact a weak hand is a person who sells his stocks rather quickly at the merest indication that it is falling .
A strong hand in contrast would sound literally like a person who has a strong hand, like a weight lifter. In stock market lingo, it means holding onto the stock long term irregardless of market volatility.
Diamond hand could mean literally a hand studded with diamonds but in actual fact in stock market lingo it means holding onto the stock rock solid like a diamond.
When I first started investing, these terms were new to me but now I know , which shows how far I have come.

weak hand is not a negative term, i would see it as someone who have a strong grasp of their risk appetite.
Risk and reward is the name of the game, the reason we are here is to earn money so the more important part is to know your own risk appetite and the investment style that suit your risk appetite.
