@Shyon:The market's rebound on the second trading day of December definitely lifted the mood. After yesterday's dip, seeing all three major U.S. indices open higher tells me that sentiment is still resilient. To me, this kind of quick recovery reflects a market that wants to stay bullish, especially with rate-cut expectations and year-end positioning in play. $S&P 500(.SPX)$ $DJIA(.DJI)$ $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ As for whether December will once again "start low and finish strong," I do think the setup is there. Historically, seasonality favors the bulls, and this year the macro backdrop is even more supportive. But at the same time, I'm cautious because the market has already priced in a lot of optimism. I'm watching whether we can sustain momentum for more than a couple of sessions—if we can, then the classic Santa Rally might actually show up again. In terms of current sentiment, I feel that investors are still leaning risk-on, but selectively. Mega-caps and AI plays remain the backbone, while cyclicals and small caps are still struggling to find firm footing. That tells me the rally isn't broad-based yet. So I'm keeping a close eye on breadth indicators to confirm whether this rebound has real staying power. As for my own trading, I'm trying to stay disciplined. Instead of chasing every green day, I'm focusing on setups with clearer risk–reward, especially around names I'm already tracking closely. December can be tricky—low liquidity, fast moves—so my approach is to balance opportunity with capital protection. If the rally extends, great; if not, I don't want to be caught overexposed. And regarding annual targets, I'm close but not fully switching into holiday mode yet. I still have specific goals I want to close out before year-end, but I'm not forcing trades either. My mindset is to finish the year steady rather than aggressive—if the market gives me a clean setup, I'll take it; if not, I'm perfectly fine locking in what I've already achieved and enjoying a calmer December. As a retail investor, I focus mainly on the US and Singapore markets, combining a mix of technical trading and long-term investing strategies. I enjoy analyzing charts, spotting patterns, and making calculated moves based on both market sentiment and fundamentals. While I'm not a professional, I treat my portfolio seriously and continue to learn and grow with each trade.
