I've recently started to DCA into Arm Holdings because I believe the company is becoming one of the most important foundational players in the AI and edge computing era. While many investors focus mainly on GPU makers, ARM's architecture already powers the majority of smartphones and is now expanding aggressively into AI PCs, data centers, automotive, and IoT devices. To me, this creates a very strong long-term structural growth story.
What makes ARM especially attractive is its business model. Unlike chip manufacturers that require massive capital expenditure, ARM operates with a licensing and royalty-based model that can scale efficiently as more devices adopt its architecture. As AI workloads increasingly move toward energy-efficient computing, ARM's low-power chip designs could become even more valuable across cloud infrastructure and edge AI applications.
I'm also bullish because major technology companies such as NVIDIA, Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft are all heavily involved in custom silicon strategies that rely on ARM-based designs. This ecosystem effect gives ARM a strong competitive moat and positions it at the center of the next generation of AI hardware development.
Of course, valuation remains premium and volatility should be expected, which is why I prefer using the DCA strategy instead of chasing short-term momentum. I see ARM as a long-duration AI infrastructure and semiconductor play, and accumulating gradually allows me to build exposure while managing market fluctuations over time.
As a retail investor, I focus mainly on the US and Singapore markets, combining a mix of technical trading and long-term investing strategies. I enjoy analyzing charts, spotting patterns, and making calculated moves based on both market sentiment and fundamentals. While I'm not a professional, I treat my portfolio seriously and continue to learn and grow with each trade.
