The firm believes the Iridium acquisition accelerates Rocket Labโs evolution into a fully integrated space platform with increasing similarities to SpaceXโs business model. Another catalyst may be developing. $KTOS has secured approximately $400 million in Pentagon funding to accelerate hypersonic and national security programmes. Rocket Lab is a key supplier to Kratos, meaning increased vehicle development could drive additional HASTE launch opportunities and expand its defence revenue pipeline. Fun fact: Rocket Lab has successfully launched more than 70 Electron missions, making it the second most frequently launched U.S. orbital rocket after Falcon 9.
