Strong dollar will be the new earnings excuse; these stocks look insulated

The U.S. dollar (USDOLLAR) $Invesco DB US Dollar Index Bullish Fund(UUP)$ will continue to see strength through at least the medium term, according to Citi$Citigroup(C)$ .And while that may favor U.S. large-cap stocks( $SPY(SPY)$ $Invesco QQQ Trust(QQQ)$ $DJIA(DJIA)$) on the globalstage, it will also have an impact on earnings. With roughly 30% of revenues for U.S. companies generated overseas, according to Goldman Sachs$Goldman Sachs(GS)$ , the "strong dollar" may replace "supply chain issues" as the go-to excluse for missing consensus estimat

SoFi Rose After Its Q4 Earnings Beat, So Wait For It To Cool Off

SoFi$SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$ stock is on quite the ride, rising 18% in after-hours trading March 2 before falling 7% the next day.The company released its annual earnings report, including forecast and realized results. SoFi’s Q4 results were strong, with impressive user growth and high volumes for student loans. It caps an amazing few months for the online personal lender. SoFi stock rose rapidly after receiving approval for a national bank charter. It will now operate as a bank in the future, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) will regulate it like a regular bank. It can offer the same interest rates and checking accounts as traditional banks. There is another reason for the company to do well. It’s forecasting how many s

Beginner Investors: Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Just Invest in U.S. Stocks

The U.S. has a great stock market, but long-term investors should also look outside it for returns. Here’s why. Many foreign investors have been enthralled in the last few years by the strong performance of the U.S. stock market. Indexes like the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 have posted some tremendous returns, aided by the growth of mega-cap tech stocks like Apple$Apple(AAPL)$ ,Microsoft$Microsoft(MSFT)$ ,Amazon$Amazon.com(AMZN)$ ,Alphabet$Alphabet(GOOG)$ $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ , and Tesla$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ . With these handsome returns, it’s

$New Oriental Education & Technology(EDU)$ Hey, look at New Oriental's latest results! Their revenue's up over 60%, but profits are only up 6%? It's like they're making more money but not really keeping it. Kind of weird, huh? And I guess the stock market's not too happy about it, seeing the shares drop. Makes sense to me. I'm hoping they can turn this around soon, but right now, it feels like they're spinning their wheels a bit.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ This company is a beast! They make 90% of all those cutting-edge semi-conductors, and their net margins are an insane 40%. Plus, they're raking in 20% revenue growth this year and planning to hike prices even further. It's like they're printing money. And guess what? They don't have any serious competition for the next 5 to 7 years. The people selling this stock aren't investors, they're just gambling addicts chasing momentum. But not me, I'm in it for the long haul. This company is a sure winner!

$Alphabet(GOOG)$ $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ From a purely fundamental standpoint, Google looks a bit shakey; and from a technical standpoint it has a Very High RSI. However, continuing the technical, a trendline or three (mean, max, min) tells a story of a pretty constant upward trend. Market psychology is giving it AI play momentum, and rightfully so. I get that in major market upsets the best fundamentals will save you, but I also understand that is a Real Difficult way to "beat the market"

META will again match the NVDA

$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ I know the feeling. There are some really devious MMs keeping this from breaking out.Where are they hiding for $GameStop(GME)$ , or $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ accountability? NVDA is 20% beyond set PTs ???What about DJT ? Where are the MMs hiding there ? Among the grifters and conspirators?DJT has a contentious MC in the billions, but yet pulls in a very scandalous amount of revenue just under $500K.500K ???My choices were between META, and NVDA, during Oct 2022, I opted for META. After NVDA finally grabbed a foothold after the 4Q23, then, Zuckerberg stuck his foot in his mouth, and spoiled METAs phenominal rise, whi

$Alphabet(GOOG)$ $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ 52 week lows, no one is selling Google right now. Low volume. Inflation neutral. Nothing new with the Fed. Bears screaming for $90-95, really? No resistance until 1500 !!

Hey, look at that! $MicroStrategy(MSTR)$ has hit $1300. I remember when they were just a small player in the market, and now they're making waves. This is definitely a company to watch. I can't wait to see where they go from here.I dont see mstr meaningfully dropping anytime soon, based on the red hot demand for $iShares Bitcoin Trust(IBIT)$ $Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund(FBTC)$ $Grayscale Bitcoin Trust(GBTC)$ and 8 other btc etf's.thousands of shares are purchased each day for these etf's who in turn must purchase btc.as btc rises - mstr risesIts the most beautiful of vicious cyclesDon't se

$Neptune Technologies & Bioressources(NEPT)$ low float, undervalued (bigly, even $8 a share is only 1x rev multiple), and good product (sprout organic baby/toddler food, Walmart, exceeding expectations, will expand line), not to mention all their other product lines besides sprout. Not sure WTF more people want. and yeah they already did an offering, don't need more stinkin cash with rev increasing, plus MS increased their credit line too!

Redbubble: Macroeconomic Woes Justified But Currently Priced At Zero Growth

Redbubble's stock fell 26% upon reporting its 1Q23 results. Fall in consumer discretionary spending is expected, but the market is essentially pricing Redbubble at zero growth and zero margin expansion. Despite a poor macroeconomic environment, Redbubble's three key pillars remain resilient, and I believe they will help the company recover in the long run. $Microsoft(MSFT)$ Microsoft has big opportunities in cloud computing and cybersecurity, and it recently partnered with Netflix$Netflix(NFLX)$ indigital advertising. Specifically, it will provide the ad-tech platforms for Netflix's ad-supported streaming service, which will probably launch in 2023. Despite recent headwinds, Netflix is still the most popular premium streaming service, and its foray into ad-supported content could materially strengthen Microsoft's position in the digital ad industry.

Don't rush to sell! TSM will go up

$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ $Apple(AAPL)$ $TENCENT(00700)$ Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. shares edged toward fresh highs since raising growth projections and unveiling record spending, underscoring expectations the voracious demand that fueled a global chip crunch will persist. TSMC is now projecting average sales growth of 15% to 20% annually -- as much as double its previous expectation. It intends to spend $40 billion to $44 billion expanding and upgrading capacity in 2022. Those numbers affirm TSMC’s pole position in the market during an unprecedented chip shortage triggered by the pandemic. They&n
Don't rush to sell! TSM will go up
$Apple(AAPL)$ As far as I understand $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ does not “manufacture” chips, they just design them. $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ manufactures their chips. I believe Apple also designs many of their own chips and also outsources manufacturing to TSMC. One of Apple’s chips is the neural engine, which I believe is a type of “AI” related chip. Do you see where I’m going here? With the vast resources they have, why is Apple not competing with Nvidia? Seems to me there is an enormous opportunity for them here in the AI space. Thoughts?

It will be a bumpy road for Intel!

$Intel(INTC)$ Intel's days of riding their x86 dominance are long gone. Once could argue they haven't had any alternative "blockbuster" product. In fact, they have entered and exited a number of products because they were dilutive to their x86 margins (e.g. Atom processors, memory products, etc). In the booming tech market of the past few years, they have constantly underperformed versus their competition (and, in the tech world, growth plays a big part in valuation). The AI expansion is well underway and, technologically, Intel will struggle to close the gap. Their bread and butter (CCG) is, at best, a mature commodity market subject to single digit growth. IDM 2.0? Huge gamble that will take years to play out. Investors

$Bank of America(BAC)$ in 12 months, people will be kicking themselves for not buying dips on financials. There is a 10yr bull market ahead for financials (specifically consumer based) given the likelihood of elevated rates -- THROUGH -- this upcoming recession due to the underlying desire to avoid returning inflation. In other words, the normal reflexive move of policy makers during an recession is to cut rates, but in this recession that tool will not be used, and therefore as we come out of the recession the macro environment for large scale high volume banks is going to be extraordinarily beneficial and profitable. I dont know what BAC will be priced at in November of 2022, but I have high confidence that by November 2025 it will double from here
