Hard to tell. Will likely be a bumpy road to recovery. Not just whether there are new variants, but also hospitalisation and death rates and of course regulations. But it does seems people are ready to travel when allowed. Afterall, it has been 2 years with covid already…and counting….

U.S. reports record 1.3M Covid cases in a day as hospitalizations soar. The seven-day average for Covid cases in the U.S. also reached its highest point yet on Monday, hitting an average of 740,594 new infections per day. And U.S. Inflation Hit 7% in December, Fastest Pace Since 1982. The Labor Department said Wednesday the consumer-price index—which measures what consumers pay for goods and services—rose 7% in December from the same month a year earlier, up from 6.8% in November. That was the fastest since 1982 and marked the third straight month in which inflation exceeded 6%. With such double whammy, probability of more downsides cannot be ruled out esp with FED tapering to fight inflation, and an overvalued stock market
