Chinese ADRs and ETFs narrowed some losses in overnight trading. Direxion Daily CSI 300 China A Share Bull 2X Shares fell 8% after a initial decline of 16%; XPeng jumped 4.37%; Trip.com turned positive.
China's finance ministry is scheduled to hold a news conference on fiscal policy on Saturday, the State Council Information Office said in a notice on Wednesday.
Finance Minister Lan Fo'an will attend the press conference on the topic of "intensifying countercyclical adjustment of fiscal policy to promote high-quality economic development," said the notice.
FTSE China A50 Index Futures cut losses to less than 1%.
