Tesla Cuts Delivery Waiting Time for All Model 3, Model Y Cars

Reuters2022-11-16

(Reuters) - Tesla has cut the delivery waiting time for all Model 3 and Model Y vehicles to a minimum of one week, it said on its website on Tuesday.

The U.S. automaker added to its electric vehicle inventory in Shanghai at its fastest pace ever in October, data from China Merchants Bank International (CMBI) showed, at a time when automakers and investors are bracing for a downturn in the world’s largest car market.

Tesla had cut prices for its Model 3 and Model Y cars in China last month to boost sales.

Last week, the company offered an additional rebate for buyers who take delivery this month and buy insurance from one of Tesla's partners. (Reporting by Zhang Yan, Twinnie Siu and Ella Cao, Editing by Louise Heavens and Louise Heavens)

Thought TSLA production previously was already a tad too quick resulting in poor quality finishing EVs manufactured and Missed being Quality Controlled (QC) check before delivering to customers. Just Google and u will find hundreds of incidences still unresolved. There's another issue is that due to cutting out agency (middleman) to handle delivery n complains (so that more profits are ploughed back to owner) after sales support is really lacking as well. And now delivery time is gonna be shaved down even more, its hard not to be able to predict that more faulty Tesla EVs are going to come about.  Scary in that each paying customer is buying a big ticket item that's gonna increasingly come with more QC issues. Gd luck to such buyers. Its like playing lottery, no? Lol

Hopefully the quality issues won't affect TSLA for long

It doesn't look like the right stock to invest in right now.
