$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ Honestly, I don't pay much mind to how the Street reacts to Google's earnings. The fact that their Cloud business is making big jumps is good news for TSMC. The Street is often short-sighted. It's like the Gangs of New York up there; they don't even agree with the analysts, let alone regular investors. TSMC sells chips and services. They don't run Google, NVDA, or AVGO. Let the market worry about those other companies. I'm just keeping my focus on TSMC.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ Broadcom is set to start working with TSMC on the manufacturing of their photonics-related fiber optics and laser communication chips. This looks like a key part of the future AI networking build-out.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ TSMC's profits jumped 77% in the second quarter. The company, which is the main chip supplier for Nvidia and Apple, is clearly benefiting from the AI demand. Net income came in at NT$706.5bn (US$22bn), which was well above the analyst consensus estimate of NT$630bn. Net sales were up 36% to NT$1.27tn.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ Looking at TSMC's Q2 2026 report card. Revenue gets an A+, up 36% year-over-year. EPS is also an A+, with a 77.4% YoY increase. Net income matches that at +77.4% YoY, another A+. Margins are strong: 67.7% gross and 60.3% operating, which is an A+. The AI and tech side gets an A+ as well, with 77% of revenue coming from advanced nodes. Guidance for Q3 is an A+, with revenue expected to be well above expectations. The full-year outlook is also an A+ after they raised their guidance. Overall, it's an A+ grade, a 10 out of 10.
$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ 680From where I stand, the $600 level is going to look like a speed bump. It feels like market makers know retail might sell around $600, so they're building up momentum to break through that level. If that happens, it could really take off, potentially leaving weaker positions behind.
