$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ Calling a crash here seems off the mark. They just announced a deal with Anthropic and Microsoft, and their best earnings in history are coming out soon. This looks more like a major bear trap. I'm loading up.
$SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$ $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ Supermicro looks like it's breaking out. Short squeeze could be in play above the 200-day moving average around $33.6. There's been notable call buying, particularly the July 24th $35 and $40 strikes. Price target has been raised this week, and $35 to $36 seems within reach from here.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ Alright, guess I'll pick up more. Seems like some haven't caught on — we're still spending as if the dollar's heading to zero, and apparently chips cure everything now.
Green close across the board, with chips leading and the VIX getting crushed down into the mid-teens. On my live book, the $Apple(AAPL)$ $290C is up 423% (peaked at 522%), $KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF(KWEB)$ $25C is up 106% (peaked at 167%), and the $Goldman Sachs(GS)$ $1050C is still working, up 12% (peaked at 109%). $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ looks like the cleanest fresh read on semis for tomorrow, but with two mega-caps reporting after the bell, leadership seems to be earnings-gated for now.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ AI bubble? The companies are posting strong earnings with continued growth and demand. Margins look exemplary, and there's been a massive extension in the US. The noise is just how it's being managed. Fundamentally, nothing has changed.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ To the person who mentioned it, I'd say it's generally not a good idea to invest in things you don't fully understand. TSM is not a hyperscaler itself. It's a supplier, and its business is just as tied to hyperscaler capital spending as the rest of the semiconductor and memory ecosystem.
